Malaysia Visa and Passport

/ Asia / Malaysia / Visa and Passport

In entering the vibrant country of Malaysia, visa is not required unless a tourist wants to stay longer than the days agreed by their government and the Malaysian authorities. If a tour will only last a couple of days, coming into the country will just require a passport. However, for nationals from Afghanistan, Angola, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, Colombia, Burundi, Nepal, Niger, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka visa is required. The same goes with citizens from Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Liberia, Western Sahara, Myanmar, Hong Kong, and many other countries.

To obtain visa for an entry to the country, an applicant must submit an original passport valid for at least six months, two photocopies of the said passport, two photocopies of the completed visa application form, two passport size photos, an original airline ticket, an invitation letter if there is one, and the visa fee. Upon submission, the visa which was applied for in the morning may be collected in the afternoon of the same day. From then, all is left is to enjoy the splendid vacation that Malaysia has to offer.
