Malaysia's history has an all star cast of people coming from the different countries surrounding it. Successively colonized by distinct countries, the country did not experience independence until the twentieth century. From the Hindus and Buddhists during the seventh to 14th century, to the Islams in the 14th and 15th, the Europeans on the years that followed, and the Japanese who entered during the Second World War, Malaysians struggled for their freedom. Finally, after many years of fighting, the rebels overthrew the invaders, freed the people and are now enjoying the fruits of their labor.
