The Women's Alliance Community Centre is the headquarters of the Women's Alliance of Ladakh. The group has over 2,000 members and they play a key role in protecting their traditions and keeping the global economy from running over their own. In other words, the Women's Alliance Community Centre is a wonderful place to learn the culture, tradition and the history of Ladakh. The centre plays several films each day which can answer most questions a tourist or visitor may have about the everyday life of the people of Ladakh as well as their past, present and future. Other topics that their films focus on are the environment, agriculture and even climate change. It is a very informative place to go and one will truly appreciate the efforts of these women.
